Ambrosio Abellaneda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dan Ado made a huge save. Esdras Abadia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, Uno Mille FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Linares to maneuver through the defense. Ambrosio Abellaneda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Ado having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ambrosio Abellaneda got free with Dan Ado in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Constantino Yebra might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Ado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantino Yebra ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Octavia's zone, Dudu de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esdras Abadia came out of the goal and Dudu de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Durvalino Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Garcia in the 45th minute of play forced Octavia's goalkeeper Esdras Abadia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dudu de Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ambrosio Abellaneda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Octavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Abellaneda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Ado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octavia's Constantino Yebra got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dan Ado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Abellaneda in the 71st minute of play. Marcos Troncoso charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Troncoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Octavia getting a freekick after 73 minutes play.
