After 8 played minutes FISHBONE 06 got a freekick which was hit by Erdal Ratkić. In the 9th minute, Keith DeGaetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peppino Azzopardi to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli got control of the ball when Hajrudin Zizović tried to sneak it across the goal line. FISHBONE 06's Veselin Pejović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Borg Xuereb in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Keith DeGaetano hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match, Mugdim Kalajdžić got a very nice opportunity to score, but Samuel Demicoli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 35 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by George Pullicino. FISHBONE 06's Bogoljub Ristić couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Templars FC. In the 42nd minute Hajrudin Zizović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Demicoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Templars FC's Oliver Friggieri in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FISHBONE 06's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the game, Gabriel Lentini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Templars FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FISHBONE 06 the free kick. A collision led to Templars FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Gabriel Lentini hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mugdim Kalajdžić to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Veselin Pejović successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute of the match, Oliver Friggieri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Veselin Pejović saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Veselin Pejović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peppino Azzopardi in the 65th minute of play. When Keith DeGaetano fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Templars FC's protests and gave Keith DeGaetano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute of the match Bogoljub Ristić sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuel Demicoli skillfully saved the ball. Samuel Demicoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogoljub Ristić in the 74th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Keith DeGaetano. In the 82nd minute Mugdim Kalajdžić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Demicoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sean Friggieri kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hajrudin Zizović in the 95th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
