Spectators: 7709 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adam Karlberg started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Thommy Pelgrims's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig Byström was relentless in the 2nd minute of the game. In the 26th minute Thommy Pelgrims shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Byström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Steff Caers came free, but Stig Byström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match Brugge United got a corner. LA VIOLA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Binjamin Denturck ran over to the corner to take the kick. Diederiek Daems fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Byström having to interfere. In the 40th minute Diederiek Daems shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Byström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of LA VIOLA booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Reijnders didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig Byström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diederiek Daems, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Stig Byström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diederiek Daems in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 51 minutes of play, LA VIOLA's John Torsberg made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aldo Candal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stig Byström made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Diederiek Daems sent off a good shot on target. After 56 minutes LA VIOLA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Binjamin Denturck who took care of the corner kick. 58 minutes into the game, Olof Berggren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Aldo Candal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ryan Lanphant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Byström having to interfere. LA VIOLA made a substitution. Abidin Onar replaced Olof Berggren. If Diederiek Daems had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brugge United's Aldo Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rutger Westerberg in the 72nd minute of play. The throw-in from Mark Wauters in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by LA VIOLA's Aron Bank. 81 minutes into the game, Rutger Westerberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Aldo Candal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diederiek Daems sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Abidin Onar came free, but Aldo Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Karlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryan Lanphant to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The LA VIOLA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brugge United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
