The Brugge United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Aldo Candal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clemente Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diederiek Daems in the 22nd minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, Brugge United's Thommy Pelgrims made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Hermes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Binjamin Denturck fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brugge United's protests and gave Binjamin Denturck a yellow card for diving instead. Romando Futebol Clube's Clemente Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thommy Pelgrims in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Thommy Pelgrims came free, but Clemente Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Thommy Pelgrims shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Brugge United had played much better football throughout.
