Zuriko Lagala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Conny Vesterberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zuriko Lagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Rank 1's goal looked a bit too open when Xurde Argoños came free, but Klas Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Franco Mussoll cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Klas Ståhlberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Klas Ståhlberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Guayaquil FC. A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Roque Mora hit a great ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rank 1's goalkeeper Klas Ståhlberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Conny Vesterberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zuriko Lagala having to interfere. Rank 1's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
