In the 24th minute of the match Las Momias F. C. got a corner. Brugge United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baldomiro Gorri ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Las Momias F. C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brugge United's performance. The match ended with a win for Brugge United.
