After 7 played minutes Savage Hippo got a freekick which was hit by Edmundas Kšanavičius. Svajūnas Božys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Guerra in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when Savage Hippo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giedrius Žalnerauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cícero Porto hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Chicão Guerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Svajūnas Božys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 17 in the game by Chicão Guerra from a close distance when the talented Svajūnas Božys managed to make a qualified save. Savage Hippo's players were relieved. In the 19th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Motta to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldinho Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romualdas Podėris in the 25th minute of the match. Motta Futebol Clube's Chicão Guerra was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Chicão Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfredas Klenkys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ronaldinho Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Svajūnas Božys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Laurynas Šarkauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute of the match Luís Eduardo Reis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Svajūnas Božys showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Motta Futebol Clube made a substitution. Ezequiel Matorin replaced Chicão Guerra. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romualdas Podėris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severino Cunha struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Svajūnas Božys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motta Futebol Clube. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Matorin in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Svajūnas Božys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Eduardo Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Motta Futebol Clube's Serafim Cabral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Svajūnas Božys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After some careless play in the Savage Hippo defense, Severino Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Svajūnas Božys. The Savage Hippo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Svajūnas Božys should have stopped the shot. Severino Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurynas Šarkauskas charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurynas Šarkauskas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Motta Futebol Clube's Maurício Trigo was substituted for Severino Cunha. In the 87th minute, Laurynas Šarkauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Savage Hippo's Svajūnas Božys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Trigo in the 88th minute of play. Svajūnas Božys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Cabral to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Savage Hippo's Algimantas Zakaras broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the referee ended the match the Motta Futebol Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
