Svajūnas Božys came out of the goal and Gaspar Sabin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gaspar Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Poz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Svajūnas Božys was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. A collision led to Savage Hippo getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. The coaching staff of Savage Hippo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Laurynas Šarkauskas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 43 minutes into the game, one of Savage Hippo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Poz in the 51st minute of play forced Savage Hippo's goalkeeper Svajūnas Božys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Leones FC's Gaspar Sabin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Svajūnas Božys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Jaime Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svajūnas Božys having to interfere. Svajūnas Božys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Louis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureliano Obeko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algimantas Zakaras in the 77th minute of play. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Amador Jakue a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Leones FC could leave the field as winners, despite Savage Hippo having more of the ball for most of the match.
