In the 37th minute Maurizio Brink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Senen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Micha-Alexander Bastmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC FUSION the free kick. After 61 minutes, Florian Hagen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rot-Weiss-Essen and the AFC FUSION players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Hagen to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes AFC FUSION got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Lando. Benicio Senen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Kapell in the 66th minute of play. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Florian Hagen succeeded in the game's 86th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. After having played for 91 minutes, Ciro Lando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC FUSION's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Lando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benicio Senen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
