Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 黄银广, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 20 minutes into the game, 黄银广 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Uwe Ziege was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uwe Ziege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 陆超翀 in the 24th minute of the match. 方亮朋 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Claus in the 28th minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Afiq Politiek was slow to take the kick. During this time 【天下】☆长空☆黄河之水天上来's players had a chance to rest. After 38 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Claus. 蔡沙翀 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Uwe Ziege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, 【天下】☆长空☆黄河之水天上来's 柯彬朋 got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Hannes Kapell came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rot-Weiss-Essen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hannes Kapell couldn't finish the play. When Gunther Schößler fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Gunther Schößler a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Gunther Schößler.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 陆超翀 to make the kick off. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them. After 63 played minutes 【天下】☆长空☆黄河之水天上来 got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Flor. Sascha Andre Rennert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 方亮朋 having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in 【天下】☆长空☆黄河之水天上来's zone, Sascha Andre Rennert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 方亮朋 came out of the goal and Sascha Andre Rennert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurizio Brink kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 方亮朋 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sascha Andre Rennert in the 83rd minute of the match. 方亮朋 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Claus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 黄银广 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Uwe Ziege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sascha Andre Rennert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 方亮朋 having to make a save. The 【天下】☆长空☆黄河之水天上来 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 【天下】☆长空☆黄河之水天上来 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
