Spectators: 7701 (Terracing: 5777, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Namık Hafız started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute of the game Edgar Teodor made a throw-in which Flavius Câmpeanu played forward. Lions Of Turks's Namık Hafız got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of MIT booed when Lions Of Turks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Burak Erengüç didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Namık Hafız's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitko Vutev was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 19th minute, Namık Hafız ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitko Vutev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Arif Buğra Onursu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Lions Of Turks's Cengiz Bozbey got control of the ball when Leontin Iacobescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cengiz Bozbey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leontin Iacobescu went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leontin Iacobescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Lions Of Turks got a freekick which was hit by Arif Buğra Onursu. When Leontin Iacobescu came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Iacobescu couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Leontin Iacobescu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lions Of Turks's Cengiz Bozbey. Cengiz Bozbey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MIT made a substitution. Mihai Cismaș replaced Sever Dobrescu. Lions Of Turks's Artaç Ünsan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sabin Eniceicu in the 80 minute of the game. Marcu Voitiş kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Cengiz Bozbey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Voitiş in the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Çetin Özdoru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lions Of Turks's supporters rose to their feet, but Çetin Özdoru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitko Vutev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MIT were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lions Of Turks for a fine match.
