After 6 minutes of play, MIT's Leontin Iacobescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armin Giolo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Armin Giolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Glodeanu in the 15th minute of play. Armin Giolo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by MIT's Flavius Câmpeanu. But to his dismay, Flavius Câmpeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Aurelio Martorella made a precise shot to the right of Vitko Vutev. MIT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 26 minutes into the match, Santoryu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Iacobescu came free, but Armin Giolo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Iacobescu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Di Tommaso in the 32nd minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Vitko Vutev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Foltea during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, MIT's Cristi Foltea got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Iacobescu in the 39th minute of play forced Santoryu FC's goalkeeper Armin Giolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Santoryu FC's Corrado Lizzi got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Armin Giolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Iacobescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leontin Iacobescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Foltea to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of MIT booed when Santoryu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Forlano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leontin Iacobescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armin Giolo could save by the left post. Santoryu FC's Armin Giolo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Santoryu FC from getting a goal against them. In the 91st match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Papadima to maneuver through the defense. Francesco Forlano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitko Vutev. MIT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MIT walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
