After 3 played minutes Les Tigres got a freekick which was hit by Victor Steven. In the 4th match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahmoud Trezeguet to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Tohias's late challenge caught a Trabzonspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Tohias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Ivan Tohias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Ostadar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Osimhen in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Tohias to maneuver through the defense. Mahmoud Trezeguet charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mahmoud Trezeguet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mahmoud Trezeguet hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 30 minutes, Romulo Lizar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Tigres and the Trabzonspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Romulo Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Ostadar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mahmoud Trezeguet's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 32 played minutes Trabzonspor got a freekick which was hit by Alkın Öveç. Ensar İğdemir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Iratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes of play Trabzonspor's Mahmoud Trezeguet was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mahmoud Trezeguet kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes, Les Tigres's Romulo Lizar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ensar İğdemir came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Les Tigres reached it. Martin Ostadar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Osimhen went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Paulino Orixe in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Trabzonspor's Hasan Ali Özdoğal. Victor Osimhen took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Ostadar. Martin Ostadar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Osimhen made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Göktuğ Yücealp to maneuver through the defense. The Trabzonspor fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Trabzonspor's Victor Osimhen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 65th match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Ali Özdoğal to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Hasan Ali Özdoğal hit a great ball. Trabzonspor's Naim Tezalp was substituted for Vahap Tanır. In the 73rd match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Ali Özdoğal to maneuver through the defense. Hasan Ali Özdoğal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Martin Ostadar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Ostadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Osimhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Göktuğ Yücealp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hasan Ali Özdoğal, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Les Tigres's Martin Ostadar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Osimhen in the 92nd minute of play. Trabzonspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
