The referee ignored Les Tigres's protests and gave Severiano Clemencin a yellow card for diving instead. Severiano Clemencin kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Mário Aparecido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Angelo Rojas made a huge save. In the 12th minute Carlos Eduardo Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Rojas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Sanches got free with Angelo Rojas in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Rojas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Sanches in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Gildo de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Rojas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Les Tigres's Angelo Rojas got control of the ball when Mário Aparecido tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oscar Cloyo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Elói Baptista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Rojas. Les Tigres's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo de Carvalho in the 50th minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Angelo Rojas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Rojas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Sanches in the 53rd minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Nova Venécia-ES got a freekick which was hit by Dário Secco. In the 63rd minute, Jonathan Veronica reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Brito. The goal made the score 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Severiano Clemencin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Angelo Rojas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Silveira went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute, Nova Venécia-ES's Dário Secco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dário Secco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nova Venécia-ES protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dário Secco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Vicente Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albano Esiquio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 95th playminute. Les Tigres were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Nova Venécia-ES's much stronger midfield.
