The supporters of VfL Wolfsburg booed when Real Unión CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venerando Eguizabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. VfL Wolfsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihnea Berceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Mihnea Berceanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Evert Wennerquist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eusebio Zaldierna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Real Unión CF booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Valström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Wennerquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihnea Berceanu in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Real Unión CF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than VfL Wolfsburg.
