Spectators: 7652 (Terracing: 5741, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonardo Magalhães started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Leonardo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Wennerquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in VfL Wolfsburg's zone, Eriberto dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Wennerquist came out of the goal and Eriberto dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Marquez took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evert Wennerquist. Evert Wennerquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Luan Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jenipapo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luan Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evert Wennerquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torsten Salqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Salqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Salqvist. If Leonardo Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Morgan Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29th play minutes Cristiano Marquez shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Evert Wennerquist and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 34th minute Luan Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Wennerquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evert Wennerquist came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Jenipapo SC's Leonardo Magalhães. But to his dismay, Leonardo Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, VfL Wolfsburg's Torsten Salqvist got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Leonardo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Wennerquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Jenipapo SC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Björn Ugla made the kick off in the second half. Luisão Silveira hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Gustafsson came free, but Kaká Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Wennerquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Vale in the 54th minute of the match. Leonardo Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Morgan Hedlund hit a great ball. Leonardo Magalhães was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 67 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Hedlund. The long shot by Luisão Silveira in the 68th minute really tested Evert Wennerquist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 69th minute, Bengt-Arne Löfskog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's Luan Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evert Wennerquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bengt-Arne Löfskog charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bengt-Arne Löfskog the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Bengt-Arne Löfskog hit a great ball.
