Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Björn Ugla started the match with the kick off. Maximo Bertran kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Torsten Salqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VfL Wolfsburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gastres FC the free kick. In the 8th match minute, VfL Wolfsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Salqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th match minute, VfL Wolfsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Sörman to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Calvino in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evert Wennerquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, David Calvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 minutes of play, Gastres FC's David Calvino made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evert Wennerquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, Gastres FC's Jeremias Tancredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evert Wennerquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 36th minute, David Calvino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gastres FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Evert Wennerquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Calvino in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, David Calvino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evert Wennerquist. VfL Wolfsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Calvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Jeremias Tancredo made the kick off in the second half. Evert Wennerquist came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gastres FC's Santiago Rios. But to his dismay, Santiago Rios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Calvino in the 56th minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Evert Wennerquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Gastres FC got a corner. VfL Wolfsburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maximo Bertran ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Gastres FC's Everardo Pello to a score. 0-7 in the 57th minute. VfL Wolfsburg's Evert Wennerquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save VfL Wolfsburg from getting a goal against them. VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jeremias Tancredo 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-9. Javier Stephen charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Stephen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Javier Stephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's David Calvino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evert Wennerquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Calvino during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gastres FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. David Calvino hit a great ball. Virgilio Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Gudmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gastres FC played a much better game than VfL Wolfsburg and deserved their victory. The VfL Wolfsburg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
