The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gorosti Mora in the 5th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eufemio Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Calvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eufemio Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Calvino in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Gastres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Rios to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Ponce Delgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Txilar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Virgilio Txilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponce Delgado in the 19th minute of the match. Virgilio Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Solera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sancho Zaplana kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gastres FC defense, Renato Solera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Txilar. The Gastres FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Txilar should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Tancredo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Solera in the 51st minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 51 minutes, Constantin Gâlcă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 and the Gastres FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ventura Astudillo's late challenge caught a Gastres FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ventura Astudillo helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 got a freekick which was hit by Ventura Astudillo. The supporters of Gastres FC booed when C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ventura Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eufemio Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Eufemio Zubizarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Bertran in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Solera in the 73rd minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 got a freekick which was hit by Sancho Zaplana. Virgilio Txilar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrián Villalcazar in the 77th minute. A collision led to Gastres FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Santiago Rios hit a great ball. In the 79th match minute, Gastres FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Bertran to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes Gastres FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sancho Zaplana who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Renato Solera managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ponce Delgado took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Txilar. Virgilio Txilar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
