Ivo de Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Pesqueira City booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tostão Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luan Vale in the 11th minute of play forced Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Ivo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luan Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute, Luan Vale reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivo de Moraes. The goal made the score 3-0. Kaká Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Netto in the 29th minute of the match. Ivo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Magalhães in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luan Vale got free with Ivo de Moraes in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Pesqueira City's Yan Netto got a free kick in the 34th minute. Jenipapo SC's Tostão Félix shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ivo de Moraes but with some difficulty. Eriberto dos Santos's late challenge caught a Pesqueira City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Eriberto dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luan Vale in the 43rd minute. Ivo de Moraes was a little too slow when Tostão Félix got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Magalhães was the one to do the kick off. Cristiano Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo de Moraes having to interfere. Ivo de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Magalhães went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Jenipapo SC's Luan Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tostão Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernani Tavares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kaká Lopes came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernani Tavares slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 66th minute. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Luan Vale hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Pesqueira City's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Magalhães came free, but Ivo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rdth minute of the game Yan Netto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jenipapo SC's Kaká Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eriberto dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo de Moraes having to interfere. In the 78th minute Tostão Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristiano Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Pesqueira City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Diniz to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Eriberto dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo de Moraes. Pesqueira City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1.
