With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, KFC Vliegplein's Gustav Van den Bergh got a free kick in the 16th minute. Mark Jansens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of KFC Vliegplein booed when FC Snipers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Vedholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Thierry Nagels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, FC Snipers's Lennart Svensson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mark Jansens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mark Jansens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Godholm in the 35th minute of the match. Thierry Nagels took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olov Groth. Olov Groth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. FC Snipers's Olov Groth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save FC Snipers from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, KFC Vliegplein's goal looked a bit too open when Inge Gustafsson came free, but Mark Jansens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Mats Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thierry Nagels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Norbert Suetens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
