The referee ignored Boulogne del Ciclón's protests and gave Igor Raitin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Igor Raitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Udalaitz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Rene Higuita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Estavan, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Heli in the 87th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Marcos Boulogne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, ..Villa Rugby Club..'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Boulogne came free, but Rene Higuita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boulogne del Ciclón's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
