Belmiro Sanches started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Leão to maneuver through the defense. Yuri Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percy Cearense in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, BRASIL.Sp's Caio Vergílio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yuri Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in EDI MZB fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! EDI MZB:s Yuri Lago showed great skill when he stopped Percy Cearense:s penalty. Yuri Lago didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Percy Cearense went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute, Evandro Maia made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Quadros. BRASIL.Sp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Evandro Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Varela in the 26th minute. A collision led to BRASIL.Sp getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Wilian Velloso hit a great ball. Adrianinho Teles didn't quite understand what happened when in the 34 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 37th minute, Gláuber de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belmiro Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Marcos Amorim in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by EDI MZB's Jeferson Arce. After 44 played minutes EDI MZB got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Arce. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Belmiro Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EDI MZB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Sanches was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, Evandro Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. BRASIL.Sp's Fabiano de Medeiros was substituted for Gláuber de Carvalho. Yuri Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Cearense in the 62nd minute of the match. EDI MZB's Yuri Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Vergílio in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, BRASIL.Sp's Marcos Amorim got a free kick in the 68th minute. BRASIL.Sp made a substitution. Leonel Vaz replaced Caio Vergílio. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when EDI MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Reynaldo Andrade sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yuri Lago skillfully saved the ball. Yuri Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percy Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
