Jedrzej Laba kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Slawomir Mentus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Valdo de Queirós made a huge save. Alfred Sroki's late challenge caught a EDI MZB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfred Sroki helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, The Irons Chorzów's Alfred Sroki got a free kick in the 12th minute. Valdo de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wojciech Molski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, EDI MZB's goal looked a bit too open when Wojciech Molski came free, but Valdo de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wincenty Balkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, The Irons Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Sanches came free, but Wincenty Balkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, EDI MZB's Adrianinho Teles got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in EDI MZB's zone, Cyprian Logewnik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo de Queirós came out of the goal and Cyprian Logewnik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Irons Chorzów's Wincenty Balkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Mota in the 31st minute of play. Caco Mota took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wincenty Balkiewicz. Wincenty Balkiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the The Irons Chorzów defense, Hortêncio Passos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wincenty Balkiewicz. The The Irons Chorzów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wincenty Balkiewicz should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Passos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Wincenty Balkiewicz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half EDI MZB were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
52 minutes into the match, EDI MZB's goal looked a bit too open when Slawomir Mentus came free, but Valdo de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cyprian Logewnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo de Queirós having to interfere. Slawomir Mentus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Macedo to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the game, The Irons Chorzów's Wojciech Molski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdo de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 78th minute Slawomir Mentus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovani Mandrak during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geovani Mandrak hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Molski in the 80th minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Valdo de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to The Irons Chorzów getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Kacper Bilicki hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes, EDI MZB's Adrianinho Teles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wincenty Balkiewicz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EDI MZB reached it. Leonel Leão was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 84 minutes into the match. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for EDI MZB! Valdo de Queirós had in the 87thth minute some difficulties stopping Cyprian Logewnik's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Valdo de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Sroki in the 90th minute of play. Valdo de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wojciech Molski, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, The Irons Chorzów's Wojciech Molski got a free kick in the 96th minute. EDI MZB's Claudinei Albuquerque was substituted for Sidnei Fernandez. After 98 played minutes The Irons Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Wojciech Molski.
