If Angelo Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falcão Cabral was a little too slow when Cássio Aparecido got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. When Paulo Jardel fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LauerArmy's protests and gave Paulo Jardel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Paulo Jardel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Jardel came free, but Lúcio Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match LauerArmy got a corner. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Renato Valladares ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led LauerArmy's Paulo Renato Valladares to fire away a dangerous shot which Lúcio Domingues despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 21 played minutes LauerArmy got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Teixeira. Angelo Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Lúcio Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LauerArmy. In the 31st minute Paulo Jardel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Jardel in the 32nd minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Lúcio Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Lúcio Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Benjamim Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. LauerArmy's Falcão Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Aparecido in the 40th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, LauerArmy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Deivid Queirós took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Falcão Cabral. LauerArmy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lúcio Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Rodriguez in the 42nd minute of the match. Lúcio Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Rodriguez in the 43rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Romeu Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeu Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Lúcio Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Domingues having to interfere. Lúcio Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Jardel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arlindo Madureira hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. James Rodriguez struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Lúcio Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LauerArmy. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Negri during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Benjamim Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to LauerArmy getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Aílton Campidelis hit a great ball. Lúcio Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Rodriguez in the 81st minute of play. The LauerArmy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Nova Iguaçu MZFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
