In the 3rd match minute, FC Wil 1900 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvan Feldmann to maneuver through the defense. Yanic Kulenovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stratos Savouras, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Bazellatin F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fivos Daskalakis in the 8th minute. The corner ended in Thymios Kominidis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Wil 1900's Yanic Kulenovic did a great save. After a rather tough play, Bazellatin F.C.'s Stathis Rasoulis got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Vagner Penisson made a precise shot to the right of Manos Voutsas. Bazellatin F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Bazellatin F.C.'s Manos Voutsas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Gerber in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Roland Cirella cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Manos Voutsas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the game, Argyris Panagos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bazellatin F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Wil 1900 the free kick. A collision led to Bazellatin F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Argyris Panagos hit a great ball. Manos Voutsas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Hinnen in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Vagner Penisson notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Bazellatin F.C.'s Manos Voutsas. Manos Voutsas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute Vagner Penisson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Voutsas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manos Voutsas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Gerber in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Bazellatin F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thymios Kominidis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Wil 1900 getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Adam Hinnen hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Yanic Kulenovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thymios Kominidis. The Bazellatin F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Wil 1900 were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stratos Savouras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adam Hinnen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manos Voutsas firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 56th minute, Roberto Birchler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stratos Savouras in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Yanic Kulenovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Voutsas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karim Gerber in the 64th minute. If Roland Cirella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Wil 1900's Roland Cirella slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manos Voutsas. That made the score 0-5 after 71 minutes of play. Manos Voutsas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roland Cirella showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 74 minute of play. In the 81st minute Stratos Savouras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanic Kulenovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Germano Despland got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Yanic Kulenovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thymios Kominidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Bazellatin F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fivos Daskalakis. After 94 played minutes Reinhard Eichel shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Bazellatin F.C.'s Manos Voutsas to catch but Reinhard Eichel was lucky. It became 0-7 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The Bazellatin F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Wil 1900 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
