The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Luiz Fábio Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Silas Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the game, Benjamim Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alfredão Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silas Nascimento came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Benjamim Negri. But to his dismay, Benjamim Negri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Edu Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Domingues having to make a save. Silas Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fábio Leme scored 0-4 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silas Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the game, Benjamim Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Silas Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The México Eterno MZC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were winning 0-5.

In the 53rd minute Cássio Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Fábio Leme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silas Nascimento. That made the score 0-6 in the 54 minute of play. After a rather tough play, México Eterno MZC's Alfredão Pereira got a free kick in the 57th minute. Benjamim Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Silas Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, México Eterno MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. If Luiz Fábio Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamim Negri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Silas Nascimento made a huge save. Silas Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamim Negri in the 75th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Leme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Silas Nascimento made a huge save. Silas Nascimento didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. In the 89th minute, Deivid Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
