The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manos Voutsas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vagner Penisson in the 3rd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Bazellatin F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Karim Gerber came free, but Manos Voutsas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, FC Wil 1900's Reinhard Eichel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 18th minute, FC Wil 1900's Karim Gerber dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Thalis Sapakis hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Vagner Penisson scored 3-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manos Voutsas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roberto Birchler kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Bazellatin F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stathis Rasoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manos Voutsas was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Adam Hinnen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adam Hinnen really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Adam Hinnen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Manos Voutsas made a huge save. The supporters of Bazellatin F.C. booed when FC Wil 1900 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karim Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Bazellatin F.C.'s goalkeeper Manos Voutsas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Hinnen. Adam Hinnens short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Manos Voutsas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vagner Penisson was the one to do the kick off. Bazellatin F.C.'s Manos Voutsas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vagner Penisson in the 51st minute of play. Thodoris Diamantidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Yanic Kulenovic made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Bazellatin F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Karim Gerber came free, but Manos Voutsas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manos Voutsas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Hinnen in the 59th minute of the match. Adam Hinnen took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Voutsas. Manos Voutsas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Yanic Kulenovic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charalambos Anastasakos in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Karim Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Manos Voutsas. Bazellatin F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 71st minute Roland Cirella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Voutsas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manos Voutsas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Gerber in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Bazellatin F.C. defense, Karim Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manos Voutsas. The Bazellatin F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manos Voutsas should have stopped the shot. In the 77th match minute, FC Wil 1900 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Birchler to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Lambis Tournas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanic Kulenovic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Karim Gerber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Voutsas was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Germano Despland kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Manos Voutsas came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Wil 1900's Karim Gerber. But to his dismay, Karim Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. There was no doubt that FC Wil 1900 were the better team. FC Wil 1900's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
