After 9 played minutes FC Cosula-BTF- got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Neicu. After some careless play in the FC Cosula-BTF- defense, Pascoal Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Brumaru. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Brumaru should have stopped the shot. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Taveira in the 24th minute of play. Ilie Brumaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascoal Paredes in the 26th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Olimpiu Teodorescu sped through Suprs Academia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Henriques. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 33rd minute of play forced Suprs Academia's goalkeeper José Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Brumaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascoal Paredes went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute Pascoal Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Brumaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Taveira charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Taveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Suprs Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Taveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Cosula-BTF- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Suprs Academia were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olimpiu Teodorescu made a kick off. If Tobias Taveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascoal Paredes in the 60th minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ilie Brumaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes FC Cosula-BTF- got a freekick which was hit by Dan Alupulesei. Ilie Brumaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascoal Paredes in the 68th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match, Tobias Taveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ilie Brumaru saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Suprs Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Octav Buta managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Cosula-BTF-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Octav Buta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Olimpiu Teodorescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Henriques was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Aurel Lăceanu hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ilie Brumaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascoal Paredes in the 93rd minute of play. Suprs Academia played a much better game than FC Cosula-BTF- and deserved their victory. The FC Cosula-BTF- players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
