Spectators: 7723 (Terracing: 5793, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) After 2 minutes, Juvenal Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. and the Talenti Roma Calcio players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Talenti Roma Calcio booed when Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute, Antonio Teodori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimas Palmeira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 6th minute, Marcos Mourão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Achille Fiordelisi. The goal made the score 1-1. When Juvenal Nóbrega was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 9 minutes had been played. Dimas Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Paoletti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Talenti Roma Calcio's zone, Manuel Valadão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achille Fiordelisi came out of the goal and Manuel Valadão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Talenti Roma Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Rullo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonio Teodori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dimas Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimas Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Paoletti in the 20th minute of the match. Gastão Cesário's late challenge caught a Talenti Roma Calcio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gastão Cesário helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. got a freekick which was hit by Gastão Cesário. Dimas Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Teodori in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Antonio Teodori put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dimas Palmeira. 31 minutes into the match, Manuel Valadão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Achille Fiordelisi. Talenti Roma Calcio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Valadão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Dave Paoletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Talenti Roma Calcio were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Mourão to make the kick off. Dave Paoletti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dave Paoletti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimas Palmeira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Teodori in the 59th minute of play forced Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Dimas Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Talenti Roma Calcio's Dave Paoletti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. A hard shot 71 in the game by Antonio Teodori from a close distance when the talented Dimas Palmeira managed to make a qualified save. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s players were relieved. In the 73rd minute, Gastão Cesário ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Achille Fiordelisi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Éder Rios hit a great ball. With his leg Dimas Palmeira managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Talenti Roma Calcio's Antonio Teodori fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-5 when Antonio Teodori sped through Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dimas Palmeira. A collision led to Talenti Roma Calcio getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Francesco Giorgi hit a great ball. Manuel Valadão charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Valadão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Dimas Palmeira got control of the ball when Antonio Teodori tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gastão Cesário hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 99 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goalkeeper Dimas Palmeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dave Paoletti. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Talenti Roma Calcio eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
