Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Haruna Hassan made the kick off and thus started the match. Manos Papaiakovou came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by XV de Piracicaba's Remo Goiano. But to his dismay, Remo Goiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Remo Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manos Papaiakovou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Túlio Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Papaiakovou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy Paes came free, but Manos Papaiakovou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Haruna Hassan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The XV de Piracicaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giotis Kouloucheris in the 28th minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Samuel Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute Túlio Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Papaiakovou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Jacinto in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Apostolos Antoniou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Takis Chatzivrettas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Remo Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Manos Papaiakovou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manos Papaiakovou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Túlio Jacinto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. After 61 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Alkinoos Zisimopoulos. With his leg Manos Papaiakovou managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when XV de Piracicaba's Marcinho Loureiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruy Paes in the 66th minute of play forced Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match, Anísio Netto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manos Papaiakovou saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 76th play minute Túlio Jacinto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Manos Papaiakovou. 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Túlio Jacinto during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Túlio Jacinto hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Beloukas got a free kick in the 80th minute. Manos Papaiakovou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruy Paes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 82 minute of play. Manos Papaiakovou made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ruy Paes sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute Remo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manos Papaiakovou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anísio Netto in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Haruna Hassan made a precise shot to the right of Manos Papaiakovou. Go Ahead Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Manos Papaiakovou successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. XV de Piracicaba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
