In the 22nd minute Remo Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Goiano in the 23rd minute of play. When Zac Ba Loua came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zac Ba Loua couldn't finish the play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wen Yong Sha couldn't finish the play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Haruna Hassan made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position.
