Paulo de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Cuddihy in the 16th minute of play. When Ke Chang Lin fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's protests and gave Ke Chang Lin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Ke Chang Lin got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute, Ke Chang Lin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's zone, Antony Cuddihy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo de Mendonça came out of the goal and Antony Cuddihy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Haley. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cássio Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ollie Flesfadar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ollie Flesfadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas França, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Zac Ba Loua came free, but Ollie Flesfadar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas França.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zac Ba Loua to make the kick off. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Zac Ba Loua got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ollie Flesfadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zac Ba Loua, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Keato in the 60th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Nicolas França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ollie Flesfadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Paulo de Mendonça acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Shaun Haley. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Zeca Garcia hit a great ball. Ke Chang Lin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. Dakota Gaffigan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Paulo de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Antony Cuddihy sent off a good shot on target. Zac Ba Loua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 80 minutes into the game, Perivaldo Pimenta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Australian Youth Academy the free kick. After 81 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Pimenta. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Zac Ba Loua got a free kick in the 88th minute. A collision led to Rio Verde F.C CIMZ getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Júlio Negri hit a great ball. Antony Cuddihy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Berkeley Glover came free, but Paulo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Berkeley Glover kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo de Mendonça. That made the score 1-1 in the 94 minute of play. The Australian Youth Academy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
