After 14 minutes of play, Atletico Patoruzu's Eric Malone made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgílio Lima was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute, Joélson de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurélien Tchouaméni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldo Hills having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Connor Presley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Ique Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Secco to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes, Atletico Patoruzu's Goliath Pequeño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Virgílio Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atletico Patoruzu reached it. Christiano Matos in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Waldo Hills, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Virgílio Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Connor Presley went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Rafael Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgílio Lima came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Patoruzu's Connor Presley. But to his dismay, Connor Presley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Cavazos was the one to do the kick off. Connor Marrero took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgílio Lima. Virgílio Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiano Matos in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldo Hills prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roosevelt Sullivan lost his temper 58 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 58th minute, one of Atletico Patoruzu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atletico Patoruzu. Virgílio Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Malone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ique Football Club getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rafael Pena hit a great ball. After 65 minutes, Eric Malone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Patoruzu and the Ique Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Eric Malone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 played minutes, Ique Football Club's Armandinho de Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Waldo Hills came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The supporters of Ique Football Club booed when Atletico Patoruzu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Goliath Mediano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Connor Presley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Virgílio Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Connor Presley slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Connor Presley notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Ique Football Club's Virgílio Lima. Virgílio Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabiano de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Waldo Hills didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ique Football Club. After 85 played minutes Atletico Patoruzu got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Cavazos. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rafael Pena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ique Football Club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rafael Pena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Waldo Hills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Matos in the 97th minute of the match. Atletico Patoruzu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
