But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alaa Felice couldn't finish the play. Matteo Guendouz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Emanuel Frichoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Catena, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Floresta Manda's zone, Franco Catena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Frichoso came out of the goal and Franco Catena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Floresta Manda's Emanuel Frichoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Catena in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franco Catena got free with Emanuel Frichoso in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Fabian Gudesteo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Peruzzi. FC Aquile Azzurre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Gudesteo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Franco Catena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Frichoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. FC Aquile Azzurre were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Club Floresta Manda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anselmo Pellecchia took the corner. FC Aquile Azzurre's Anselmo Pellecchia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emanuel Frichoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alaa Felice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alaa Felice in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, FC Aquile Azzurre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Pellecchia to maneuver through the defense. Franco Catena took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuel Frichoso. Emanuel Frichoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Floresta Manda's goalkeeper Emanuel Frichoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Peruzzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Aquile Azzurre from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute of the match Concetto Foni sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Frichoso skillfully saved the ball. FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Peruzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Ioritz in the 79th minute of play. When Concetto Foni fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Aquile Azzurre's protests and gave Concetto Foni a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes FC Aquile Azzurre got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Foni. In the 81st minute of the match Martin Gilabert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Peruzzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Lautaro Estévez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Floresta Manda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Aquile Azzurre the free kick. Emanuel Frichoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Aquile Azzurre. Franco Catena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Frichoso having to make a save.
