Boughera Benmabrouk really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Edison Cavani took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fathi Abbas. Fathi Abbas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fathi Abbas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edison Cavani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Salmiyah Power fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Fathi Abbas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edison Cavani in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Khalida Zouba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes, Frontera AFC's Alberto Márcico shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fathi Abbas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Frontera AFC reached it. 36 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fadhil Meniri came free, but Bernardo Sazon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fathi Abbas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edison Cavani went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Boughera Benmabrouk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Frontera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Cucao. After the first half Frontera AFC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edison Cavani to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Salmiyah Power's goal looked a bit too open when Edison Cavani came free, but Fathi Abbas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Edison Cavani put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Fathi Abbas. Salmiyah Power's Fathi Abbas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edison Cavani in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Edison Cavani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frontera AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edison Cavani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fathi Abbas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salmiyah Power's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Miguel Merentiel scored to the left of an out of position Fathi Abbas, making the score, 2-5. Edison Cavani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Fathi Abbas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 68 minutes Salmiyah Power's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Márcico who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Márcico got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fathi Abbas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Frontera AFC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Miguel Merentiel hit a great ball. Jonas Gilen charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Gilen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonas Gilen kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Salmiyah Power getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Fadhil Meniri hit a great ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Bernardo Sazon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Sazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fadhil Meniri in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edison Cavani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fathi Abbas was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Frontera AFC's Brian Aguirre was substituted for Edison Cavani. Frontera AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Salmiyah Power's much stronger midfield.
