Marius Agulescu's late challenge caught a XMAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Morovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Garibaldi having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goalkeeper Filip Mirciulescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ennio De Nardis. In the 39th minute Alessio Ascoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Mirciulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ennio De Nardis to make the kick off. Filip Mirciulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Ascoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, XMAS's Ennio De Nardis got a free kick in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the game, XMAS's Ennio De Nardis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip Mirciulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0.
