The tension between the SAN MARTIN F.C. and the Cactos players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo Teles made a kick off. In the 80th minute, Alejandro Mendebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Reinaldo Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 92 played minutes, Cactos's Lenílson Rodrigues shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximiliano Astudillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cactos reached it.
