Pablo-Enrique Escobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Vaalman in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henk Hofland to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verwachting's goalkeeper Casper Enting, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Henk Hofland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 minutes, Henk-Jan Opdam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verwachting and the River Plate ® 9-12 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pablo-Enrique Escobar made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Oscar Vaalman sent off a good shot on target. Pablo-Enrique Escobar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerrit Melis in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dexter Morgan in the 26th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Casper Enting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes, Gerrit Melis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verwachting and the River Plate ® 9-12 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Verwachting getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gerrit Melis hit a great ball. The River Plate ® 9-12 fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when River Plate ® 9-12's Angelo Corderall looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 39 minutes into the match, River Plate ® 9-12's goal looked a bit too open when Ron Lammers came free, but Pablo-Enrique Escobar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Verwachting's Casper Enting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Corderall in the 41st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelo Corderall stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Corderall in the 50th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Enting saved Verwachting from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ron Lammers in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pablo-Enrique Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Verwachting's Oscar Vaalman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Florencio Lehen in the 54 minute of the game. Casper Enting stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dexter Morgan's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Dexter Morgan put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Enting. River Plate ® 9-12's Pablo-Enrique Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Vaalman in the 67th minute of play. Pablo-Enrique Escobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrit Melis in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ron Lammers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verwachting's supporters rose to their feet, but Ron Lammers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo-Enrique Escobar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Casper Enting didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Corderall went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Domenik Kromkamp hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Casper Enting made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Angelo Corderall sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, River Plate ® 9-12's Casper Enting threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dexter Morgan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Wilfred Vonk got a free kick in the 84th minute. With a little luck, Verwachting's Casper Enting got control of the ball when Angelo Corderall tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Oscar Vaalman fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verwachting's protests and gave Oscar Vaalman a yellow card for diving instead. The River Plate ® 9-12 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
