Albano Piearres's late challenge caught a Froghino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Piearres helped the player get up and apologised. Froghino's Jáchym Zvolský was substituted for Helmut Halíř. After 19 played minutes E. C. Flamengo Paraibano got a freekick which was hit by Albano Piearres. 20 minutes into the game, Petr Klimek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mané Barreto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd match minute, Froghino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaroslav Kosík to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes E. C. Flamengo Paraibano got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Vaz. In the 30th match minute, Froghino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miloš Židek to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to E. C. Flamengo Paraibano getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Albano Piearres hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Gilbert Manduca took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Mané Barreto to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st minute, Petr Klimek fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mané Barreto, passed just outside the right post.

The wind increased when Erberk Tunçkol made the kick off in the second half. Albin Anundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Klaus Gryc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Gilbert Manduca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Mané Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilbert Manduca in the 60th minute of play. When Olívio Barral fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's protests and gave Olívio Barral a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes E. C. Flamengo Paraibano got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Barral. 66 minutes into the match, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goal looked a bit too open when Jáchym Zvolský came free, but Mané Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in E. C. Flamengo Paraibano got a corner. Froghino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Albin Anundsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Albin Anundsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Klaus Gryc quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A hard and well directed shot from Albin Anundsson led 77 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Froghino's Klaus Gryc became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petr Klimek in the 80th minute of play forced E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Mané Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in František Špaček almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Mané Barreto did a great save. After some careless play in the E. C. Flamengo Paraibano defense, Gilbert Manduca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mané Barreto. The E. C. Froghino's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
