Gao Chao Jing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niki Bundev's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Niki Bundev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gao Chao Jing. LA MAQUINA F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niki Bundev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Yala's Isidoro Bizi got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute, Reynaldo Hurko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niki Bundev made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Montes got free with Gao Chao Jing in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yala's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Nesor in the 94th minute. The corner ended in Jorge Nesor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LA MAQUINA F.C's Gao Chao Jing did a great save.
