Jason Achin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eden Noë in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Eden Noë left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The klide13 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 16 minutes, William Saint-Saëns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the klide13 and the Qikiqtarjuaq FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, William Saint-Saëns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, klide13's goal looked a bit too open when Junior Stover came free, but Nathan Barbot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nathan Barbot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Morin in the 24th minute of the match. Nathan Barbot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Dostie in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Junior Stover notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of klide13's Nathan Barbot. Nathan Barbot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Will Greenberg hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Earl Croteau in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, klide13's Eden Noë got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, one of klide13:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for klide13. 43 minutes into the game, Earl Croteau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nathan Barbot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to klide13 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Toufik Édeline hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jewel Coats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nathan Barbot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind klide13's goalkeeper Nathan Barbot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Junior Stover recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Jason Achin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eden Noë in the 66th minute of play. Eden Noë took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jason Achin. Jason Achin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Grégoire Villenave managed to get in a good position for a shot. klide13's supporters rose to their feet, but Grégoire Villenave was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Achin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Jewel Coats got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
