After 4 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Will Greenberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Morin in the 8th minute of play forced RÖK's goalkeeper Yan Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Earl Croteau fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qikiqtarjuaq FC's protests and gave Earl Croteau a yellow card for diving instead. Earl Croteau kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Adelino Jacinto hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, RÖK's goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Morin came free, but Yan Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jason Achin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elivélton Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. RÖK's Yan Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save RÖK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Qikiqtarjuaq FC booed when RÖK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Júlio Varela's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 50thth minute, Jason Achin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Júlio Varela's late challenge caught a Qikiqtarjuaq FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Varela helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to RÖK getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Júlio Varela hit a great ball. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Bruce Morin got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clemente Simões hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Bruce Morin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jewel Coats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Yan Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Marquez came free, but Jason Achin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jason Achin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute Jewel Coats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Morin in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 79th minute Hamílton Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Achin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamílton Proença in the 83rd minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Jason Achin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Junior Stover left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Bruce Morin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Pirani having to interfere. The RÖK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RÖK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
