Carlos Augusto Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Prokowski in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Vale in the 12th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Torres's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joel Maciel firmly grabbed it by the left post. Garanhão do SUL's Joel Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Tróia in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Palmeiras's Tião Tróia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joel Maciel. Joel Maciel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Carlos Augusto Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Garikoitz in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Tróia in the 35th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Joel Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Maciel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amadeo Tuste showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 41st minute, Jonas Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeo Tuste stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Amadeo Tuste kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Maciel. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Maciel should have stopped the shot. Amadeo Tuste scored 5-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Palmeiras's Toninho Prestes was substituted for Dagoberto Moura. Joel Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Tuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Damian Prokowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Carlos Augusto Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palmeiras's Carlos Augusto Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the game, Damian Prokowski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Augusto Recife. Damian Prokowski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. Damian Prokowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Augusto Recife came out and tried to block the shot, but Damian Prokowski slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 70th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almiro Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Caio Boldrini scored 6-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Palmeiras defense, Alexandre Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Recife. The Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Recife should have stopped the shot. After 82 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Prestes. Carlos Augusto Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcísio Palha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Damian Prokowski put it in 6-4 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Augusto Recife. Palmeiras walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
