When Tarcísio Palha came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Garanhão do SUL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcísio Palha couldn't finish the play. 于迪诚 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Vale's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Alexandre Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 于迪诚 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 梅洲庭 made a kick off. Julião Valverde hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Joel Maciel made an important save on a dangerous shot by 梅洲庭 in the 62nd minute. After 67 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Almiro Cabral. When Elias Garikoitz fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garanhão do SUL's protests and gave Elias Garikoitz a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Damian Prokowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 于迪诚 was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game.
