The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Socavon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Castel Concepcion didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Augusto Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Socavon FC's Toni Schumacher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Socavon FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Palmeiras's Caio Boldrini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Toni Schumacher. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Eneas Leal hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Caio Boldrini kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Palmeiras's Carlos Augusto Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garaile Pacio in the 33rd minute of play. Caio Boldrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toni Schumacher having to interfere. If Tião Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 45 played minutes, Socavon FC's Ordono Aspurua shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Recife came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Socavon FC reached it. Caio Boldrini struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Toni Schumacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras. Socavon FC made a substitution. Diagur Mellado replaced Eneas Leal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Socavon FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Perivaldo Furlan was slow to take the kick. The referee ignored Socavon FC's protests and gave Gualterio Rojo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Gualterio Rojo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toni Schumacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Socavon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Tuste came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toni Schumacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Tuste in the 77th minute of the match. Zuhaitz Artiaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Carlos Augusto Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Boldrini in the 81st minute of play forced Socavon FC's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Baldomiro Contero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match Franko Tio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Augusto Recife skillfully saved the ball. In the 89th minute Diagur Mellado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Zuhaitz Artiaga came free, but Carlos Augusto Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Socavon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Boldrini came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Palmeiras were awarded a corner. Perivaldo Furlan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Socavon FC's goalie and right to Ernesto Quin. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Socavon FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
