Dorian Freitas's late challenge caught a River CBBA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joam Abaurre during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tadeo Ignado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jasmine Kuch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. River CBBA were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Melbourne 007's much stronger midfield.
