Edwin Hurtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 5 minutes of play, Nacional's Giro Horduña made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santana Abar was left in no man's land by his defense there! 8 minutes into the match, Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Rafael Abella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Katia Villalobos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rogerio Abenda kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Santana Abar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demario Caceo in the 11th minute of play. Santana Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Discípulos de Ayn Rand getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Rafael Abella hit a great ball. When Edwin Hurtado came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Discípulos de Ayn Rand fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edwin Hurtado couldn't finish the play. Santana Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Yan Sha in the 24th minute of play. Yan Yan Sha's late challenge caught a Discípulos de Ayn Rand's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yan Yan Sha helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Yan Yan Sha. Discípulos de Ayn Rand's Santana Abar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Carneiro in the 35th minute of play. Rafael Abella hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Santana Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro in the 43rd minute of play. Yan Yan Sha took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santana Abar. Santana Abar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Discípulos de Ayn Rand players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nacional were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Abella stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Discípulos de Ayn Rand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ebardo Abello to maneuver through the defense. Yan Yan Sha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santana Abar came out and tried to block the shot, but Yan Yan Sha slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 54th minute. Santana Abar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yan Yan Sha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 60 minute of play. Giro Horduña scored 0-6 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santana Abar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santana Abar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Yan Sha in the 74th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Discípulos de Ayn Rand got a freekick which was hit by Santino Pellegri. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Soldevila got free with Santana Abar in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute Yan Yan Sha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Demario Caceo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santana Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Yan Yan Sha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Santana Abar. The goal made the score 0-7. 87 minutes into the game, Giro Horduña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Santana Abar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yan Yan Sha succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-9. After 96 played minutes Discípulos de Ayn Rand got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Abella. After 96 played minutes, Nacional's Demario Caceo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santana Abar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nacional reached it.
