The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Gianluca Popolizio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Júlio Pais, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Ciceron Valdivielso took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Júlio Pais to make any attempt to save it. 13 minutes into the match, Red Proud FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Popolizio came free, but Júlio Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Aloísio Figueiras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Proud FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Popolizio FBC the free kick. After 14 played minutes Red Proud FC got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Figueiras. In the 15th minute, Aldo Popolizio made a precise shot to the right of Júlio Pais. Red Proud FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Júlio Pais came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Aldo Popolizio. But to his dismay, Aldo Popolizio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Aldo Popolizio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Júlio Pais when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Júlio Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciceron Valdivielso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Red Proud FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Aloísio Figueiras hit a great ball. When Aldo Popolizio came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Popolizio couldn't finish the play. Baladi Vellana charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baladi Vellana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aloísio Figueiras kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Red Proud FC's zone, Gianluca Popolizio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Pais came out of the goal and Gianluca Popolizio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Deportivo Popolizio FBC booed when Red Proud FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Gianluca Popolizio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gianluca Popolizio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Pais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aldo Popolizio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Júlio Pais made a huge save. Aldo Popolizio scored 5-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Pais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Popolizio to make the kick off. Júlio Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Popolizio in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Ciceron Valdivielso made a precise shot to the right of Júlio Pais. Red Proud FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. The audience was convinced that Aldo Popolizio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Pais was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Baladi Vellana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Júlio Pais. Red Proud FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 58 minutes, Flávio Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Proud FC and the Deportivo Popolizio FBC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Flávio Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Gianluca Popolizio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juvenal Assis's late challenge caught a Deportivo Popolizio FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juvenal Assis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Red Proud FC's Juvenal Assis got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Aldo Popolizio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Pais. Red Proud FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aldo Popolizio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 68thth minute of the game Aldo Popolizio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Proud FC's Júlio Pais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Gianluca Popolizio sped through Red Proud FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júlio Pais. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Gianluca Popolizio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 90 played minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Alcala. In the 93rd minute Gianluca Popolizio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Popolizio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Popolizio, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Deportivo Popolizio FBC were the better team. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
