The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arnaldo Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Formentera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Real Ayuntamiento CF got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Cordeiro. After some careless play in the Formentera defense, Salvador Endura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justo Estefan. The Formentera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justo Estefan should have stopped the shot. Romeo Noe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justino Vigil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Lönn in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Salvador Endura notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Formentera's Justo Estefan. Justo Estefan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Justo Estefan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Endura, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some careless play in the Real Ayuntamiento CF defense, Jan-Erik Lönn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Justino Vigil. The Real Ayuntamiento CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Justino Vigil should have stopped the shot. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Justino Vigil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Poncio in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Endura came free, but Justo Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Juan Su. 36 minutes into the match, Formentera's goalkeeper Justo Estefan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salvador Endura. The crowd rose to their feet as Salvador Endura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Justo Estefan. That made the score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play. In the 47th minute, Juan Su hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvador Endura made a kick off. The supporters of Real Ayuntamiento CF booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Vela didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Real Ayuntamiento CF's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Poncio came free, but Justino Vigil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 64 minutes into the game, when Juan Su put in a rough tackle. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Formentera! Real Ayuntamiento CF's Anacleto Beat was substituted for Maximiliano Libertad. After 68 minutes Formentera's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omar Honesto who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Formentera's goalie and right to Romeo Noe. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Formentera's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 70th minute, Salvador Endura made a precise shot to the right of Justo Estefan. Formentera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 75 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Endura came free, but Justo Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Real Ayuntamiento CF's Justino Vigil got control of the ball when Jan-Erik Lönn tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76th play minutes Jan-Erik Lönn shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Justino Vigil and just under the crossbar into goal. Justino Vigil made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Jan-Erik Lönn sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Formentera booed when Real Ayuntamiento CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Beat came free, but Justo Estefan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Ayuntamiento CF fully deserved thier win.
