The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Johannes Stenberdt made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Maximiliano Libertad sent off a good shot on target. Sonni Engklint kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Salvador Endura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Ayuntamiento CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Endura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johannes Stenberdt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute Raul Gartzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Stenberdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Libertad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Johannes Stenberdt made a huge save. In the 19th minute Nikolai Ruthand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Prejun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Prejun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolai Ruthand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Abelardo Prejun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Francescoli in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Real Ayuntamiento CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Brun to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Real Ayuntamiento CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Libertad to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Romeo Noe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johannes Stenberdt. Romeo Noe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 36th minute, Real Ayuntamiento CF's Anacleto Beat ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johannes Stenberdt. Johannes Stenberdt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Enzo Francescoli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Prejun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Enzo Francescoli made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Abelardo Prejun tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximiliano Libertad was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Real Ayuntamiento CF defense, Nikolai Ruthand kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Prejun. The Real Ayuntamiento CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Prejun should have stopped the shot. Enzo Francescoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Prejun having to interfere. Nikolai Ruthand's late challenge caught a Real Ayuntamiento CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikolai Ruthand helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Nikolai Ruthand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Strib Galacticos IF's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Beat came free, but Johannes Stenberdt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bobbi Mejnholt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute of the match, Enzo Francescoli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Abelardo Prejun was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Beat in the 72nd minute of play forced Strib Galacticos IF's goalkeeper Johannes Stenberdt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Ayuntamiento CF's Abelardo Prejun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teis Bager in the 74th minute of play. Maximiliano Libertad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Johannes Stenberdt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Real Ayuntamiento CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Strib Galacticos IF:s goal. Abelardo Prejun had in the 84thth minute some difficulties stopping Sonni Engklint's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of Real Ayuntamiento CF booed when Strib Galacticos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thorlejf Hestbek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johannes Stenberdt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Endura went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Strib Galacticos IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Ayuntamiento CF.
